The Richmond 48 Hour HORROR Film Project filmmaking weekend begins here! Teams must have at least one member of their team attend this event in order to participate, but we encourage the whole team! Here is where teams will receive the required character, prop, line of dialogue and draw their genre--all of the elements required for their film.

The winning film will go up against winning special genre project films from around the world at Filmapalooza 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal for a chance at the grand prize and an opportunity to screen at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner!
